First Formula One car racing in Sri Lanka at Colombo Night Races
The Colombo Night Races 2013 was organised by the Carlton Motor Sports Club in conjunction with the Asian Motor Racing Club (AMRC) and Sri Lanka Racing Riders Associations (SLRRA) and Sri Lanka Association of Racing Drivers & Riders (SLARDAR).
Entries for the motor cars were for the following classes - Formula McLarens 1300cc carbureted, Formula McLaren’s 4 1300cc EFI, SLAS Homologated Cars SL-H (Up to 1600 cc), SL-GT (Grand Touring Cars) up to 3500 cc and SL – S Specials up to 1500cc. Entries for the motor cycles were for Group Super motor Open and the over 250cc Open - 4 Stroke.2014 Races will be held in a Grand scale towards year end.
